20 Types of Facebook Friends

I found this online and loved it.
What types are you?

Depending on how I am feeling I am number 2, 10 and 20.

20 TYPES OF Facebook Friends

 1) The "Rooster" – Feels that it is their job to tell Facebook "Good Morning" every day

 2) The "Lurker" or "Creeper" – Never posts or comments on your post, but reads everything, and makes reference to your status when they see you in public. You sometimes forget they are even ON Facebook because you never see anything from them.

 3) The "Hyena" – Doesn't ever really say anything, just LOLs, LMAOs and ROFLMAOs at everything.

 4) "Mr/Ms Popular" – Has 4,367 friends for NO reason. Says it's for playing games.

 5) The "Gamer" – Plays Words With Friends, Farmville, Mafia Wars, Scrabble, Bakes virtual cakes and stuff, sends you virtual flowers, etc., ALL DAY LONG. Most likely while on the clock at work.

 6) The "Cynic" – Hates their job, their life, and everything in it, as evidenced by the somber tone in ALL of their status updates. Never seems to be happy.

 7) The "Collector" – Never posts anything either, but joins every group and becomes fans of the most random stuff.

 8) The "Promoter" – Always sends event invitations to things that you ultimately delete or ignore.

 9) The "Preacher" - Quotes more bible verses than the Sunday sermon. Probably doesn't even go to church.

 10) The "Liker" – Never actually says anything, but always clicks the "like" button

 11) "Drama Queen/ King" – This person always posts stuff like "I can't believe this!", or "They gonna make me snap today!", in the hopes that you will ask what happened, or what's wrong...but then they never finish telling the story.

 12) The "Updater" – Always updates you on what they are doing and who they are doing it with, no matter how arbitrary and meaningless. Go wash that laundry now. 13) The "Next Gordon Ramsay"-Always posts picture of food they have cooked, no matter how disgusting it may look. When out to dinner, posts pictures of food, drink and from time to time even pictures of the waitress and dishwasher.

 14) The "Biggest Loser"-Lets you know everytime they are at the gym or going for a run.

 15) The "Pet Rescuer" - Wants you to adopt 35 pets this week.

 16) The "Night Owl" -  Has to say "Good Night Facebook, Sweet Dreams"

 17) The "News Anchor" - Because nobody has access to a TV or a radio, so they need to update everyone what famous person just died, what the weather is like and what the Iranians did today.

 18) The "Professional Photographer" - Keeps the screen filled with photos of sunrises, sunsets and snowstorms.

19) The "Last Comic Standing" -  Tries to bust your balls and be funny on every post you make. Most the time, unsuccessfully.

 20) The "Thief" –  Steals status updates... and will probably steal this one.

Outback Girl invades FaceBook

That's right, I am now officially on facebook.

For those not always on blogspot you can now follow me on good old facebook. On my FB page I also share some funnies and one liners to keep it interesting.

Now to all those I haven't talked to in a while life has been busy.  Unpacking, cleaning and setting up a new house and schoolroom have taken centrefront of all my time.  In between all that I have been battling mice, trying to get ahead so they don't start nibbling at nights.

I get my first visitor outside the family tomorrow to my new place and schoolroom.  Will be good to show it off even if all the photos are not on the wall.

Well, time for me to keep cleaning or organising.

Computer Guru .....Crazy Nut

Sitting in an outback school room is no longer about crackly HF Radios and car batteries.  Gone are those simple days. It now involves lessons over the computer and the daily wrestle with the internet, websites, printers, scanners and emails.  Once you have finished dealing with all that there is still MP3 players, cameras, xbox's, headphones, microphones and touch screens.

Did I miss anything?

Every morning I head in early just to get the computer on track, I no longer shut it off each night because it take too BL&#DY long to start up if I do.  To start up, get the email and morning messages up it takes for usernames and passwords.

I do love computers ... its just slow education department ones that annoy me.

Computer knowledge in the outback is often a curse.... there is always someone on the station that needs your help OR at times I just have to do something to make their lives easier because I can't bear to watch them struggle.

Some of my favourite tips ... to start with

Internet Browers:
Stay away from internet explorer if you can.  Download Firefox and Opera and use them as browsers. I have a lot less viruses since I started using them.  Hackers and Viruses target microsoft.

Emails Programs:
Rather than using Outlook Express or Outlook I use Thunderbird.  Once you get into it, it is a fantastic email program.  I also have about 4 email address for business which I like to keep separate.  Thunderbird is great for this.
If you want a more social email program then try incredimail.

Photo Resizer:
Microsoft has a great little powertoy photo re-sizer.  Which after downloaded and installed to use all you do is right click and resize.  Google it and download.

Don't email massive photos.

Remember pictures in WORD documents can be compressed.  Looking in the help

Gadgets: Found in Control Panel > Appearance & Personalization
Windows 7 & Vista uses gadgets which can be downloaded and installed to help with lots of things.  My favourite gadget is the Bigpond Usage Meter which keeps an eye on your usage without logging into telstra or waiting for an email.  You can search online and find many useful gadgets.  I actually only have 2 on my desktop, otherwise it gets cluttered.

Desktop:
Keep the desktop unclutter.  No more than 10 icons.  Such as Email, Internet, Accounting Software, Music software, Camera/photo software, mapping software.

I also create a new folder on the desktop and each time a game is installed I put the icon in there. Easier for the kids to find.

Remember Desktop icons can be deleted because they are always in the menu.

OKAY ... now time to look at the window then head out the door

So nice to look out the window and see grass waving in the breeze

Technology...a curse or treat?

I was scrolling back through emails sent and realised how long it has been since I have emailed most of my friends and family.  These days it feels like 70% of my work involves a computer and although I thought I would never say this I can't be bothered sitting in front of a computer after school.......

WHO would have though blasphemous words like that would have come out of my mouth.

ME the computer geek.

In the schoolroom I spend 6-8 hours a day are spent fight the schoolroom computer.  I would really like to see the education system buy better computers and have a better Internet deal.  The kids nearly keel over laughing when I get frustrate and offer me the axe to put straight through the middle of it.  If I was a cartoonist I could draw a million pictures of that.

Sometimes I feel my computer knowledge in the outback is often a curse....the more you know, the more people ask you to help.  I love to help but these days I run short on time.  I can't be the personal secretary everyone wants and needs all the time but where do you draw the line. Parents and siblings first, the boss second.  What about aunty's, uncles, 2nd cousins, the boss's best friend....the list goes on and the requests increase

Luckily I don't have anything else to do...LOL... I mean once finish my day in the school room

Now time to cruise facebook and my emails  :)
