Steak Rocks - Braised steak

I love a piece of steak and found this recipe in a SOTA cookbook


Braised Steak in oven

1 lb of steak (can be diced but I often prefer to lay a good piece of steak flat in a roasting dish.)
½ onion chopped
2 tblspn Tomato sauce
1 Beef stock cube
1 tblspn brown sugar
2 tblspn brown vinegar (white can be used a pinch)
1 tblspn hot sauce
½ cup water

Roll meat in flour.  Place in casserole dish (I prefer one layer about an inch deep).  Add onion.  Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.   

Cook in a Moderate over for an hour or until cooked.

Serve 2-3
